When Aiden's a bit cranky, there are three things that will change his mood for the better, boobs, bath or a short walk. He especially likes going on hikes. There are a few trails pretty close to where we live and one of our favorites is the Tom Sawyer trail that skirts the Crystal springs reservoir in the peninsula. There's a little bit of everything on this trail and Aiden seems quite curious to check out the outdoors.

Rick & Elena's Wedding
Aiden made his first cross country trip a week ago for Rick & Elena's wedding in New Jersey. He did very well on the flight and made life very easy for Mom and Dad. Hope this means that he's going to be a good traveller cause he's got a lot of transcontinental trips written in his lifetime. The wedding itself was very beautiful and since Mommy was in the wedding party, Daddy had to play Mommy for a little while. It went smoother than Daddy could have ever imagined. Aiden had a great time at the wedding and at about midnight we saw him leading the Conga line with Raghani
Spa day at Grandpa's
There's three things that Aiden truly loves, boobs, water & sleep. I guess he's like any other male and in due course water gets replaced by beer and football. He loves taking a bath and especially loves an outdoor hot tub. Not sure if it has anything to do with the fact that he had a water birth, but he has sure taken to water like a fish. Here he is on a recent trip to Grandpa's.

First smiles captured on film, well, it's a digital, but you get my point...
Aiden started smiling very early, at about 3 weeks. It's not like he's smiling in response to any of the attempts at making crazy noises or funny faces by Mommy & Daddy, it seems more like he's cracking his own jokes and laughing at us. We've been trying for 7 weeks now to try to capture his smile on camera but haven't had much success until today. This vibrating chair is a big hit with him. In fact it's one of the few things other than Mommy or Daddy that he likes spending more than 15 minutes on. He especially like to smack the hanging toys and then watch the lights go crazy

Aiden's Spa Day at Grandma's
Aiden loves the water- it calms him when nothing else will. This includes baths and swimming in hot tubs! This weekend he had a spa day with Mama, Quita and Aunt Helena. He was really fussy before we got in the hot tub and immediately calmed down even though it was a windy day.
Aunt Helena didn't have her swimsuit and went skinny-dipping - another first for Aiden.
Eww! Girls are yucky!

Happy Birthday Aiden!
It's hard to believe, but it's been exactly one month since Aiden was born. I know that this is cliche, but time truly does fly when you are busy getting enthralled by the the cutest baby in the whole world.
Aiden had his first truly social occasion today. It was the annual "Sage Femme" picnic at a park in South San Francisco. "Sage Femme", is the birth center in San Francisco where Aiden was born. It was great to meet some of the folks from our birth classes along with their babies. Aiden was the second to last baby born at the birth center. The last baby born there coincidentally was named "Aidan" too, which is a more traditional form of the same name. Aiden spent most of the picnic sleeping peacefully which is quite a change from his outing last weekend when we tried taking him on a short walk along the "Sawyer camp Trail" near Crystal springs reservoir. He was not a happy camper and let's just say that some of the folks there looked at us a bit suspiciously.
