It's hard to believe, but it's been exactly one month since Aiden was born. I know that this is cliche, but time truly does fly when you are busy getting enthralled by the the cutest baby in the whole world.
Aiden had his first truly social occasion today. It was the annual "Sage Femme" picnic at a park in South San Francisco. "Sage Femme", is the birth center in San Francisco where Aiden was born. It was great to meet some of the folks from our birth classes along with their babies. Aiden was the second to last baby born at the birth center. The last baby born there coincidentally was named "Aidan" too, which is a more traditional form of the same name. Aiden spent most of the picnic sleeping peacefully which is quite a change from his outing last weekend when we tried taking him on a short walk along the "Sawyer camp Trail" near Crystal springs reservoir. He was not a happy camper and let's just say that some of the folks there looked at us a bit suspiciously.
This is Aiden within minutes after he was born. You can't tell it from this picture, but when he came out, he was a cute mass of wrinkled skin and his most prominent features were his big eyes and a full head of hair.
This is Aiden at one month. You can already see that his face has filled in and he has a double chin. His eyes are big as ever and his hair is getting longer and longer. I can't wait for it to get long enough to tie into a ponytail. He has also cultivated quite a tan. He's got a long way to go though, before he catches up with the dad :)
